Brown |  There are many conspiracy theories around Freemasonry and the majority of them come from two camps, those fundamentalist in their religious beliefs and anarchist. It never ceases amaze me at the connections they can make with seemingly inoquous events, people or items. It is healthy to poke a little fun, not only at yourself but at these conspiracy theories and one such poke in the eye of these people caught our attention when searching for the latest news worthy items in our Masonic world.
This author not only shows how Washington D. C. was built with it's streets making a pentagram, not a new one to most Masons but he now shows how Apple is getting into the Masonic conspiracy realm. Apple is not alone though according to this author, he has also located the earthly hiding ground of the Devil himself and shows how he is right in the middle of this ongoing Masonic conspiracy.
Since we at TBL pride ourselves on making sure that the pictures that go with our news articles are ALWAYS legit and go with the article without question  . We chose this gratuitous sexually charged image to bring home the seriousness of this conspiracy and ok she's is cute too.

Brown |  The previous news item was a personal rant by myself levied against the Grand Lodge of NY's Grand Master for not opening a lodge at the FOBs for our troops and civilian Brothers that are in harms way. I was and still am upset at the Grand Master of NY for not standing up for Brother Martin when the Grand Lodge of Kentucky was trying to expel him for visiting a Prince Hall Lodge, which the Grand Lodge of NY recognizes as regular and Brother Martin is also a member of.
After my posting of the news article and sleeping on it overnight I almost felt bad this morning when I read it again, as I felt I was being a little harsh on the GM, after all they did seem to be making a valid attempt to identify the Brothers "at large" and did show ways for other Brothers to contact them.
Then that wall of shame I was starting to feel came crashing down after I stumbled upon, after having it pointed out to me by another Brother, the problems over territorial sovereignty that is in full swing between the Grand Lodge of NY and the Grand Lodge of DC. Even though it was even discussed here at TBL in the forums, somehow I had overlooked this in the fog that is my life today.
Some will say that the Grand Lodge of New York is wrong here, and I agree with a BIG BUT. This isn't a problem with the Grand Lodge of NY or the Grand Lodge of DC and their Brethern, as I cannot fathom true Brothers really standing for this type of behavior. What is at the root of the problem here is the territorial sovereignty claim that these Grand Lodges think they have over FREEmasonry. No one owns FREEmasonry or it would be called something else altogether. No one person or Jurisdiction has the right to tell one Brother whom they can or cannot have fellowship with or sit in a tyled lodge with and to the Brothers that have bought into this, COME ON be leaders not followers.
Below is the official communication by the Grand Master of DC to the Brothers in DC and his chronological time-line of events which lead up to the Grand Lodge of NY removing recognition from the Grand Lodge of DC. All that comes to my mind is the movie "Grumpy Old Men". Read and if you don't shake you head in disgust then you are probably at the wrong place.

Brown |  I’m going to break one of my own rules “again” by posting “another” news article that is written from my personal perspective and laced with all kinds of personal biases and rants at what I consider an unjust Masonic system. Tonight I was at home with my 4 year old son sick, asleep on the couch, while my daughter and wife when to their karate class where they were awarded their next belts. I decided it was time to try and catch up on some TBL post and to get another news article posted. So off to Google News I headed and did the common searches “Freemasons”, “Masonic” but nothing more than the typical fish fry dinner announcements and death notices. Then I decided to check in with an old friend Brother Charles Martin by reading some of his post on his blog. If you are not familiar with Brother Martin, he became one of the Internets infamous mainstream masons attacked by his own Grand Lodge and Grand Master (Kentucky) for attending a PHA lodge while stationed overseas. Now if you don’t remember Brother Martin is also a member of the Grand Lodge of NY, which recognizes PHA but his Mother Grand Lodge in Kentucky does not. When his mother Grand Lodge threatened to expel Brother Martin for attending a PHA lodge, the Grand Lodge of NY would not stand up for him, shame on them. If memory serves me correctly after much hoopla and support from his Brothers like you, on the internet, Brother Martin was just suspended for one year.
Brother Martin is currently stationed in Afghanistan as a civilian contractor working for the military. One thing I found out that I had not previously known about Brother Martin was his background as a Systems Engineer. Immediately I felt even closer than I had before to him, as I’ve been a Systems Engineer for almost 25 years and chewed a little sand in that part of the world myself.
